Description
ARZ needs what it always has in high quality RD jumping the rankings to take Soderstrom in the Caufield draft triggering a series of events that saw Caufield drop to our 15th OA pick .
I believe this year they will choose SAP 6th OA instead of a Smith, Barlow or Yager as at this point they're all project players at that same skill level

1. Bedard
2. Michkov
3. Fantili
4. Carlsson
5. Smith
6. SAP
7. Benson
8. Barlow
9. Leonard
10. Moore
11. Dvorsky
12. Reinbacher
13. Sale
14. Danielson
15. Andrew Cristal The Darkhorse that should be top 10 but will likely fall .

Andrew Cristal will need time in the AHL to pack on Muscle which is ideal considering his long time Centerman Jared Davidson will be there already .
While we got all sorts of depth at various levels i think Cristall and Davidson benefit from call ups because Laval is so close .
They'll also benefit from Brassard and MTL's additional support as they pack on muscle going forward.

Cristall's style is hard to quantify but i guess its closest to Dach overall
That said when i watch him all i think is "Radulov eat your heart out "

Grabbing guys like Will Smith and Andrew Cristall give MTL Quality pieces 2-3 years down the road.
Just as money's starting to get tight as MTL is Contending they'll show up to join the system.

Next years Centers:
Suzuki , K.Dach , Dvorak and C.Dach

Year afters Centers:
Suzuki, PLD, K.Dach and C.Dach

Year after that :
Suzuki, PLD, C.Dach and Beck

Savard,Armia and Dvorak will be leaving the year after next creating more space for youth.
By this point we'll have Laval stocked with prospects and Will Smith in the NCAA developing.
We'll be stacked in every regard except RD and Goaltending in which we have many picks in 2023 3rd-7th round to address.
I mean if SAP is still at 15th OA spot then sure we'll take him but outside that there's no clear cut guys who have potential to be better then Barron or Mailloux.
So it just makes sense to go with the long shots like Hutson or Harris which have worked for us so far.

-Chicago gets MTL's 37th OA pick in a deep draft making it their 4th in the top 40 this year and 5th 2nd round pick. In a Deep draft their rebuild should take a pretty big leap forward

-Jan Mysak a B level prospect who's a faceoff/defensive center with leadership qualities projected at the high end as a middle 6 forward and low end AHL regular call up .
    CHI
    1. 2023 2nd round pick (MTL)
    2. 2023 6th round pick (MTL)

We dont have another like Dach who will have a Sissons like rise as he grows into his massive frame.

CHI gets more then they invested in the #62OA pick from 2020 which in 2 years they'll flip for a 37th OA pick in a deep draft , a former 48th OA pick in Mysak and a 6th round pick

    Additional Details:
ARZ gets a young player from ARZ who's dad played in ARZ who is on a team that cant give him the minutes he'll need to develop. He'd be sidelined for a season and a half before the space is there to give him minutes he deserves.

Hawks probably accept. A top 40 pick in return for Dach would definitely be attractive to the Hawks I think.

Arizona isn’t drafting ASP, if anyone it’ll be reinbacher, they also don’t do that trade

Michkov in no reality is going 2 overall. The word is that he could even fall out of the top 5. Way too much hype on Fantilli who's doing better than Eichel as a freshman in College hockey and probably wins the Hobey Baker by a landslide

Ylonen isnt worth a high 2nd if traded. A 3rd, yes, and he should be going in the PLD trade with less room on the wings in Mtl

The Kirby Dach I saw the second half of this season is going to be a better Center than Suzuki and PLD. Give the kid a chance with consistent wingers. He's already great at puck protection, passing, shooting in tight. Let him explore his physical game a bit more.
