Description
While it has been a small sample size for sure, Hirose has definitely impressed me. Just by watching him, you wouldn't be able to tell he is a rookie playing his first few NHL games. He looks cool and composed and does not crumble under pressure. He has somehow stabilized the Chaos Giraffe Myers which is incredibly impressive for a guy in his first 5 NHL games. I wouldn't be surprised if he took the 2LD or 3LD spot next season

You'd have to package at least a 4th (likely a 3rd) with Myers for Detroit to take him. A 4th would be nothing going back, if it's a 3rd, Detroit would probably send a 5th back.

A 4th is not a big deal. If they can trade him for FC after his bonus is paid that would be sweet but at this point I don't want to watch Tyler Myers play hockey anymore

With the money could also sign a solid 3C or top 4 D to a short term deal

I have also been impressed with Hirose and hope his good play continues into the future.
Perhaps Chicago would take Myers just to get the floor. He is still more than your average $1M Dman.
I don't know if Lapierre is the 3C the Canucks are looking for, and they already have McDonough and Raty.
While I appreciate Dries and DiGiusseppe's work ethic, they just don't get the results needed to hold spots on a good NHL team.

I don't expect a big return for Brock so if we can at least get a potential future middle 6 C and move out cap, it wouldn't be terrible. Dries and DiGiuseppe are kind of place holders as I have no idea who the Canucks may sign in free agency
