I would probably do that if Joseph only had a couple year left instead of 3. Joseph is overpaid by a millionish for what he actually is and the Hawks have an overabundance of 4th line/AHL tweeners that can do Joseph's role for 2 million less a year. Guenette is an interesting prospect and would bloster the RHD options that are far fewer than LHD for the Hawks. Probably would need to improve that 7th a few rounds to get the Hawks to bite off and chew that third year of Joseph. Maybe could do something like having the Hawks send out a bottom roster guy like Katchouk or Reese Johnson and include Oskar Pettersson.

Much rather Goody & Laf @ 5.8m, plus a 1st lol? Even if a team has 20m in cap, why would they want to lock up ADB @ 9m?? Opposite of what we, and most teams, need...

Ya that’s not it. The concept that Goody is a dump contract is bogus. Hot takes from other fan bases. He’s been great and certainly doesn’t hold negative value. Tyne concept that Laf is a bust or not good is laughable, he doesn’t get PP time for starters, his ice time is limited, but he’s is very effective. That 1st is being used for a prospect and next years pick is going to be move at next years TDL. Cat is yours or find a better suitor
