If the man says Kassian is not a cap dump, he must not be a cap dump. I am sure a lot has changed in Kassians game since the Oilers attached a better 1st, a 2nd,, and a 3rd to off load Kassians contract. Oh wait, I found it. Kassian had 2 goals (and points LOL) in 51 games for 3.2 million. If he says the Tampa pick will be in the 29-32 range, we should just ignore last night and that it looks way more likely to be #20OA (if there is a team capable of losing 3 in a row in the first round 2 of which are at home, Toronto is that team so he does have that). Everyone knows the only way to get to the cap floor is to trade for Zach Kassian to NOT help Arizona because he is NOT a cap dump.

2 points to make here

1 To any contending cap strapped team kassian is a massive cap dump. To any team with cap space kassian is not a cap dump. Thats how cap dumps work. If Kassian isn't put in the trade, then Arizona can just send him down and thats the end of the conversation

2 The amount of cap space you'll have next year is massive, especially if Murphy is moved. You need more cap hits to pass the cap floor. Kassian is just one option, but you can easily go elsewhere. When I said Chicago needs Kassian I mean you need the cap hit, not the player at all. So yes you need someone like him

Adding in kassian is just to help the blackhawks out. He has no need being in the trade. It doesn't help arizona out at all
