Le what. Ceci contract isn’t even bad and they wouldn’t ruin their team just to sign Bouchard to 8 years

Ceci was fine his last year in PIT and actually good his first year in Edmonton but he blew this year. Not to mention, Ceci is an offensive guy and he Edmonton needs a more defensive guy (a la Soucy) and Bouchard/Nurse are miles better than Ceci. I’m also not sure why signing Bouchard to great value for 8 years would ruin the team

Ceci is not an offensive defenseman

Kulak and Ceci are almost exactly the same age, about the same size, make about the same money, are both signed past this season, and had similar point totals this year. Yet you're paying a high pick to get rid of Ceci while giving Kulak away for free? I'm a CBJ fan, so I just don't fully understand the thought process there. We'd gladly take Kulak for free, but you'd probably get at least a mid-to-late round pick for each with no retention.

Inconsistent and not worth the money is why you likely won’t get positive value for Foegele. Yamo is right there with him imo. Better options than both in free agency
