Description
Would Devils even consider trading Holtz? I have no idea, but he's exactly the type a prospect Wings need. Kirby Dach was traded for pick No. 13 and No. 66. Dach plays center as well, So I think Holtz value is slightly less.

Trading for a young player like Holtz is riskier than trading for a proven player like Debrincat. But there are also positives about that: Holtz is 4 years younger and would fit well in with the young core: Edvinsson, Seider, Kasper, Raymond, Cossa...etc. Holtz is also still on his ELC for 2 more years- that gives us a lot of Cap flexibility instead of signing Debrincat for 8+million.

That's an interesting idea. Not sure either team does it. Raymond and Holtz were dynamite for the Swedes. I'd probably do it but change my mind. LOL

New Jersey probably takes that. When was the last time we saw a prospect with zero NHL experience get traded for a 1st and a 2nd?

What happened to Holtz? His stats ain't look too good. Any Devils' fan with insight on why? Get depthed out and bad coaching in AHL? Not put in good situations? Just looking bad? If it's the last thing, I would rather keep the picks tbh.

I think the Devils give Holtz one more shot before they trade him for picks. As things currently stand this would have to be a draft day trade for someone we really wanted that fell to 18th, and that doesn't seem likely to me.
