MTL
  1. 2023 1st round pick (SJS)
Additional Details:
By moving up one spot, the Habs avoid the headache of potentially drafting Michkov, especially considering Hughes’ hesitancy. Sharks GM Grier has already stated that he won’t shy away from drafting Michkov. As well, Columbus is reportedly very high on Will Smith, and may pass on Leo Carlsson at 3. The Habs draft a big centerman who plays a smart offensive game, and will fit well as a combo 1A/1B with Suzuki.
SJS
  1. Beck, Owen
  2. Xhekaj, Arber
  3. 2023 1st round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
The Sharks move down one spot, and receive a very good forward prospect in Owen Beck and a very unique young NHL-ready defenseman in Arber Xhekaj. They still get a top-5 quality prospect, while also adding two more promising young guns.

MTL
  1. Dubois, Pierre-Luc [RFA Rights]

You could draft one rank back, sign PLD as a UFA and KEEP ALL those assets.

What's wrong with you !?!
(no offence but OMG is this bad, no other way to say it)

Why would Grier be truthful and lays out his cards about Michkov,? Seems to me he wants offers from teams below him to move up.
Easy no from Jets. Taking on Anderson and his contract is negative value.

If Florida pick turns into a whole lot later, I would try to upgrade it to low teens possibly, but ya draft a way, there’s a solid goalie, forward or two and maybe dman to be had, that’s going to be paying large dividends in 24/25 season or later. Will be interesting where hughes takes this nucleus going forward.

Sharks should be looking at either Smith or Carlsson. The comments about Michkov I think are conjecture to keep people guessing.
However if sharks and Grier know more about the situation and feel confident he is absolutely coming over after the 25/26 season. Then this deal would be very smart. Worst case Montreal takes Michkov and sharks still land Smith or Carlsson. No matter what sharks come out with a great pick

The only reason why the Habs would even consider this deal would be to trade out of the Michkov's dilemma, and pick whoever falls at #4 between Carlsson and Smith.
