I would accept that offer as the Los Angeles GM. Regretfully, and I might be in the minority of LA fans, but I would.

i think the rangers match that. I could see them trading him for some form of compensation if they think theyre not going to be able to keep everyone, but they would get more than a 2nd rounder for him from whatever team wants him

I highly doubt LA does that. Honestly it is probably fair value and would not be a terrible roll of the dice from the Hawk perspective. Unfortunatley the GM that spent the #5 OA pick on Turcotte will probably want another season to see if he can stay healthy and approach the ceiling they saw in him.

On Murray, I think his MNMC is not much of a hurdle at this point...he got passed by a 24 year old rookie and was a healthy scratch for the playoffs when there was a oppurtunity. The writing that he is not part of any future in Toronto should be crystal clear after that. Murray should be more focused on finding a spot where he can play in the NHL and rehab his game where he might actually have a chance at another contract next Summer than trying to flex his contractual muscle with his NMC. If the Hawks were to add Murray, I think Mrazek might be the guy that gets bought out or they just roll with 5 guys organizationally as one of Mrazek or Murray will likely be hurt at all times anyways.

The Kings might do that trade next summer, but not this summer.

His value, if he doesn't perform or is hurt again next season, will crash next summer though probably to only a 2nd or 3rd versus the Kings parting ways for both this summer.
