Can’t see jarmo moving Texier after a year and a half of supporting him through his mental health issues, switch him for Bemstrom and Columbus likely accepts.

Dying on a 3rd liner hill who as you said, has mental health problems, bold strategy

He doesn't have mental health problems. He had multiple family members die and needed time to grieve and be close to his remaining family in France.

Ducks don't want a racist on their team. Verbeek says no and he can get a much better defenseman elsewhere.

And a player has to realize that it's a business and the team has the ability to get better by moving him. He should say "thanks for the support when I needed it, I really appreciate it."

Bringing in Hayes and sending out Texier doesn't exactly make the team much better now and probably makes it worse in the long run. Tex was scoring at a pretty similar pace to Hayes when he was last in the NHL and he's 7 years younger with 4 more years of team control. If he's a must to bring in Hayes then I'd pass all day long.
