Not sure why any of the other teams consider those trades.

If TB can sign Ross Colton for only 2.9M for 3 years he won't be going anywhere.
TB probably passes on the trade though. I know we looked at Eddy but he's a year out from UFA, can probably get a slightly younger package from other teams like NJ.
Pezzetta would be a bottom six add, but didn't he just sign an extension in MTL too? Be kind of a bad look to ship him out that fast after signing that.

Easy decline for Caps. They won’t use the #40 to dump Mantha, and especially not if Hoffman is coming the other way.

I'd rather Overpay WSH for their 8th OA then bundle the 5th and 8th OA in a package to ANA or CBJ
Rather then pay for an older version why not just pay for a newer updated version.

Way i see it if we overpay for Fantilli its a win still
If we overpay for PLD its a loss .
ANA has great Center depth today so being paid to take Smith and another top 10 guy should entice them if we dont cheap out
