Probably no shot of trading Newhook. The Avs top brass are still pretty high on Newhook and Jared Bednar has stated how much he likes his play.

Ideally the 4th from the Caps and the 3rd from the Avs would go to a 3rd team that does the retention. The Caps are still trying to compete and they'll likely need every dollar of cap space they can use to do that.
