I just love Zach Benson, and he is available at 9OA. I think he would be the perfect skill partner in 2-3 years time for Stu as Giroux begins to age.

I find it very interesting that a lot of DET fans are saying this, but in my experience most fans from impartial teams say that getting a 40goal scorer in their prime, locked up for 8 years is what you would be PRAYING that 9OA turns into.

Fans of every fanbase famously over-value their own prospects and picks

I know the 2023 draft is deeper than the 2017 draft, but >6 years in Michael Rassmussen is an NHL player... but if you could trade him for Cat you know you would in a heartbeat. Sometimes there is value in the sure thing. IMHO, DET could use a little sure thing right now to support their good prospect pool as they look to make steps in a difficult division.
