Saying the expansion draft rules sucked for everyone but VGK is revisionist history. Coming out of it, the popular opinion was that they botched it a bit. And the teams that gave them these good deals for considerations only have themselves to blame. Florida protecting a guy that's done nothing for them and losing 2 top 6 wingets for it isn't the rules, its them making a bad decision. Same for other teams like CBJ.

You do realize that it wasn’t it the rules that teams HAD to give away assets. Columbus, like a lot of other teams saw an opportunity to dump cap and problems, and the Knights took advantage of that situation.

You know what’s funny, with how many freebies that Vegas got in their expansion draft, virtually nobody helped the Kraken, and they have already made the playoffs in year 2.

Columbus made a massive mistake, and now you are complaining 6 years later with an exceptionally lopsided trade?
