Description
It's going to be a long offseason.

Boston will need to move out lots of money in order to enter the year with another contending roster. It's likely best to put emotion aside this offseason, because beloved Bruins are going to be gone no matter what.

Ullmark is at the peak of his value and Swayman is already prepared to be a full-time starting goalie on a playoff team. As painful as it is to see Swaymark split up, it might be best to make it happen. The likely Vezina Trophy winner going to L.A. for Alex Turcotte, pick #54, and a 2024 1st that likely falls in between 20-32 seems like a fine deal. Boston gets a chance with a prospect that has little chance of thriving in Los Angeles.

Taylor Hall is likely on his way out after his strong playoff performance. I think Carolina is the most likely team to ensure that they grab a skilled middle-six winger after a few seasons of failed free agent acquisitions. The value may be off, but it's hard to gauge how desperate Carolina will be, but I've got a hunch.

Anaheim has an abundance of draft capital and could take on Forbort for the year with the intention of trading him at the deadline for a higher draft pick. Boston could also sell him by adding a pick of their own, but I think this is more likely and ideal.

Clifton may see larger offers on the open market, but the sizeable pay raise may entice him to stay in Boston for another run.

I quibble a bit with the RFA deals maybe being too low, but that might be in the noise. I also might have different lines, but again no biggie.

I think the Bruins accept all three trades, but I am not sure about how the other teams feel.

Yea, LA has no interest in giving up that haul for Ullmark. Honestly, drop the 1st and still no.

Too much for Hall, but I don't hate the fit. The one thing that is available in abundance right now is depth wingers. Hall isn't the 90-something point winger he once was when he won the Hart. If the price was more affordable, sure. But look at how Carolina has been run under Dundon. They don't overpay. Ever. The three worst trades were all moving pieces out the door (Nedeljkovic, Skinner, Faulk). If it's a pick lower down the draft, maybe. Hall's got a no-move and a 10-team no-trade. Knowing that Carolina could very easily just hold that over the Bruins for a guy that only put up 36 points last year. Plus, he's got term left. Maybe a 4th or something, but a 2nd and an NHL-ready prospect is just not happening

Don't think Waddell would be in on Hall. He's likely to be another 'failed acquisition'. We're not that desperate.

Just because the Ducks have alot of picks doesn't mean they use one on a cap dump

Kulikov is a much better defenseman than Forbort and we got him for free last offseason, not to mention guys like Forbort are a dime a dozen and we can get a similar player for league minimum in free agency

The most Boston is gonna get back for him is FCs, if they dont have to pay to move the contract

Side note, he's actually due 3.5M this season in actual $, so hes more expensive than his cap hit, which makes moving him harder for other teams to swallow without being compensated for taking his contract
