Description
MTL Drafts Will Smith 5th OA
With him and our depth call up pool in the AHL we're looking Lean and Mean Faster then expected.
With Hutson, Smith and Tuch in NCAA developing as well as Kapanen,Engstrom and Nurmi in Europe.
MTL has Quality they're investing in at all level.

AHL Lines:
Farrel-Beck-Mesar
Heineman-Kidney-Simmoneau
Mysak-Dach-Roy
Condotta-Davidson-Teasdale
JPJ(6'7 Winger/Dman John Scott type player)

Trudeau-Mailloux
Fairbrother

Primeau
Dobes

Is MTL a Contender? No we're still transitioning as good as this roster looks.
Can the play the underdog in the playoffs on a run? Absolutely with this depth.

I can say we are inexperienced but kept the right Leaders for the Transition.
Plus i really like the Tandem of Montembault/Lanikinen with that Dcore infront of them.
I'd love to move Dvorak out but easier to wait and give our AHL Centers time to push him out

Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Bäck, Oskar
  2. Faksa, Radek
Additional Details:
Even if this is just to break Faksa contract down into 2 movable pieces that at that cap will have teams interested whether its waivers or trade i think it gives DAL options

DAL can play Armia or bury him at like 1.2m cap but at 1.7m i dont think he clears waivers.

Evans gives them an Center in his mid 20s who can win faceoffs.

Additional Details:
Faksa gives MTL a 4th line C who can help during Slafkovsky's transition. Czech is to Slovak as France is to Quebec, The Language is different but based on the same core system and while it may not be proper Both cultures understand each other

The boost also will help Pezzetta and RHP as well
Back isnt NHL ready but we need AHL talent too.

Nashville should keep Lankinen as a backup and leave Askarov as the starter in the AHL.
If they trade a goalie, it will either be Saros (to make room for Askarov) or Askarov.

Can’t move Lankinen. Askarov needs at least another full year in the AHL until he can move into a backup role

Wow Winnipeg rob everyone in that deal
Durzi and Harris are equal in value (or very very close) and no way habs give a first, a second, a third, a reliable backup and 50% retention on Hellebuyck for Turcotte

oooooooo really?
Ok ill up the offer for Saros
Lanikainen just seemed more likely
I know if i was NSH Saros-Askarov would be my Tandem as Askarov still has to grow into a starter.

That said im a big Saros fan
What the cost on him
