Ummm... There's probably a timeline where the Blues consider this, but it all depends on what else they can do before the draft and how the picks unfold. As of right now, it would likely be a pass.

Why would Edmonton take on $1.4m extra in cap and downgrade the defense to improve a scoring winger position?

Where are they down grading the defence?

Ken Holland would make that deal immediately, without hesitation.

Broberg is not taking anyone’s position on defence, that’s a fact. He might get 40-50 games but he’s unlikely to move anyone out.
Oilers problem is 5v5 scoring.

I surely hope that interest in TK isn't that strong. Oilers fail again and again because defense is not elite. I agree that 5v5 scoring can be improved but they have bigger weaknesses that need to be addressed first. I'd rather give up the 1st for a RHD.
