Last year they went early on geekie, looking like a good move, I would guess they are more than happy at 6 and 12, could be quite a heist in this years draft. The forward prospect group is rounding into form all ready, so possibly reach for a defenseman or another forward or two and have a position of strength going forward. With the announced buyouts, I wonder if they have there eyes on a ufa dman to shore up the blueline

Just re: Geekie, and to plop a thought out there, I'm absolutely not sold on him. Maybe he's improved it, but he just seemed soooo slow back the '21-22 season when I saw him a few times. Great hands, and a very solid playmaker, but my worry with him when the Ducks were on the clock at 10OA last year was that he was Dylan Strome 2.0 coming out of the draft...not that it's a horrible thing.

Moving down TOP 10 even if you are not far behind like 12... will cost at least a 2nd... and sometime a very late 1st... like

12 OA + 38 for the 10 OA because you are the one that are desperate to secure your spot/player @ 10
