I think come the TDL he'll be able to get more after he retains 50%. You maximize player trades at the TDL and rebuild slowly.

Thats a fair point, but you gotta think too if getting a 1st in next year's draft as good as getting one in this draft which is exceptionally deep and each year you wait to trade him is another year where you wait on your first-round prospect to be ready.
