Description

Lots of disappointed habs fans out there for MTL not drafting a forward, if Hughes somehow pulled off some master theivery and snagged Lafreniere with an offersheet would you be happy about landing a highly drafted forward?

Doubt Drury would fall for the Dvorak for Goodrow trade but if they pulled this off it would put NYR ~$800k closer to the cap, it might work if they see Dvorak as an upgrade and like getting out of the two extra years of Goodrow's deal... sneaky.

Pipe dream for sure, but New York is susceptible to offersheets this offseason if they aren't careful, Miller will be prioritized over Lafreniere too I'm sure.

I would caution teams with high value prospects coming through their system from offer sheeting. That opens up retaliation for Slafkovsky, Reinbacher, etc.
