Gibson - Needs to go. His prime and our window to compete don’t align

Murray - Cash in on a better pick for one year of a vet who’s won a cup to play behind young and mentor Dostal

Myers - We need RD, we need size. This solves both and depending on pre/post bonus payout and how the market sees his cap hit, we could net a decent pick along with him. Could flip him at the deadline half retained

Henrique - Love him, but hate letting pieces go for nothing. Retain him at 50% part way through the season and move him to a contender. Everybody wins.

Peeke - admittedly stole this from a comment on another AGM but thought it was a smart one. Need longer term help at RD, and 3 years of term is perfect

Bunting - we’re hurting at LW and we really need more size and grit. Bunting has shown he can keep up with offensive studs, and complements a Z and Terry line well

Kane - this one is a long shot. But assuming his market value is low for a 1 year deal coming off surgery, the thought is to overpay him to play with us for 1 year, he can prove his ability when he gets healthy, and we can flip him at the deadline half retained to a contender (hopefully a more successful version of the Klingberg deal)

Carlsson - let him develop one more year in SHL

Zellweger/Mintyukov/Hinds - Start the year in the AHL. They’ll get shots with the big club after injuries, and if any show they’re just outright ready, White can sit (I really liked what I saw from Lacombe, but he can also go down if needed)

Gaucher/Pasta - AHL development year

Luneau / Warren - Another year in the Q
