Raddysh and Dumping Murray

Maybe it’s just my opinion but I would much rather get rid of Lauzon who is getting overpaid and has 3 years left on his deal and get a 5th and T.J. Brodie who is getting older and his contract is hearty but he only has 1 year left on his contract.

Can I ask why go with Lauzon over Brodie? I like Lauzon, but I think expecting top pairing mins might be a bit much from him... Lauzon would be a nice physical 3rd pairing/depth add imo...curious to see what your thoughts were on the deal!

I think Murray is every bit of a 1st to dump at this point (buyout probably makes more sense for the Leafs) and I can't see the Hawks moving TRad for less than a 1st either. I'm not overly fond of Robertson as a prospect....hurt to much and wrong shape and size for a team with Bedard, Moore, Nazar as top forward prospects. I think you would need to replace Roberston and the 3rd with a 2nd and Niemela to get the Hawks to consider biting taking Murray and moving TRad. Leaf picks are going to be the end of the rounds and Hawks are probably not eager to move TRad (or take Murray) unless they are wowed into it.

Hawks easily decline. Leafs get no more than a 3rd back from Hawks in a Murray trade. And two 3rd's and Robertson isn't close for TRad.

Chicago shouldn't be interested in that trade.

They have no room for another goalie, it might take that 1st just to move Murray.

I consider Robertson to have very little value, he scored 55G in his final year in The OHL, a league known for its offence but hasn't done anything since. he hasn't been able to crack TML team, cant stay healthy and isn't producing in the AHL when he is.

Chicago doesn't have to trade Raddysh, but if they do it will be a better return than this.
