Eight years starting when Jake is 30 years of age. He signs it....can't see any team offering nearly as much.

I think less honestly and i wouldn't do this deal if i'm the pens. 8X8.5 at 30yrs???

IMO there are so many factors to it...

Team will not be very good in 2 or 3 seasons, so does he take a shorter deal and see what happens?

Does he take a long term deal at lesser AAV?

It's tough cause he turns 30 to start next season...

Honestly I think you might be able to get him at like 6x7.5

Yes and it's probably fitting for a 35/35+ guy. If he's not signed, someone will offer $8M for 7 years. That might be the difference in your deal for Pitt as I'm sure he will want to stay and would probably take 7 years.
