Quoting: Byrr
If Pinto was going to sign for something this low, it would have already been done.
There's no way of knowing either way. All we know is negotiations takes time particularly if they're trying to convince him to sign a 1 year bridge to make more money down the road. Brady missed the whole training camp and the first 3 games 2 years ago

Just a bit thin and where does the improvement come from, from 22-23?
Theres alot at the top end and not much space, even moving forward, to keep/pay the RFAs. Or address any needed improvements or injuries.
It'd have to come from :
- being more healthy (Josh Norris barely played, Chabot, Kastelic, Joseph, Zub missed a lot of games, goalies too)
- Jakob Chychrun who only played 12 games last season
- Having Ridly Greig graduated
- Tarasenko, Kubalik replacing DeBrincat and Gambrell
- Korpisalo and Forsberg being better than the goalies from last season (which shouldn't be too hard)
- Sanderson and Stutzle starting the season as 21 years olds instead of 20
Still worried about coaching staff having them to play the right way though
Sens salary cap structure is ideal going forward, 5 M$ in dead cap space coming off the books and the cap rising with only Pinto to sign long term and keeping/replacing Tarasenko
