Out of left field but

Cant see Washington trading Iorio, unless they either really like Garland or wanna get rid of Mantha that badly

I'd hope the Caps decline, but I might not be the best person to ask.

Not a fan of Garland in general (extra year of cap space is the main reason), Caps already have enough LDs, and Iorio is a stud who should be kept as he will play in NHL next season

Of all the Garland trades on here I think this comes closest to the mark...VAN's best bet to unload him without having to pay someone to take him will be in a trade like this where they take back a different undesirable contract.

I think you are probably the closest to fair value of all the Garland/Mantha trades I've seen. Personally, I just don't want Garland in DC solely because of how tight the Caps salary already will be next year, and also Iorio is one of a very small number of defensive prospects the Caps have that look like they'll make the NHL. So I'd like to hold on to him unless he's part of a bigger deal.

I would love a Garland-Mantha+ swap if Garland had one year left, but the term makes it really tough for the caps. On top of that, I don't think this trade makes enough sense for the caps to move Iorio. They (and I) really like him.
