Description

Since CBJ is dissatisfied with Laine, Chicago comes calling. Hawks can afford his 8.7M cap hit for 2 more seasons which would expire when Bedard's ELC ends. Play him at wing with Bedard and watch their production go up. Flip Laine at the 2026 TDL. Or maybe he'll mature (he's only 25) and want to stay in Chicago and be extended. Of course, all depending on the new contracts for Bedard, Korchinski and the cap situation. Blue Jackets get a 2024 1st and a couple of cheap depth players.
