Stamkos would be a bad move, nor would he sign such a short term contract, and almost certainly does not want to play for a rebuilding team.

Not a chance Dach is a 2C

Ethan Bear hasn't been signed for this season, there's a reason

Phillips and Allan both have been working on playing on their off sides, no reason to bring in another D man.

Hawks right now are likely to draft Celebrini is awarded the #1 pick OA or Eiserman (most likely) at the #2 spot. Either will play next year and slot in the top 6. There is a chance the Hawks fall to #3 and grab the RHD guy in which case he will need a couple seasons.

Reichel will get more, probably 2.5, Vlassic may as well and would be smart of us to lock him up longer term if we can....$5M for 5 years would be good. Cap will go up to at least $85.5M

Bear hasn't been signed because he hurt his shoulder during worlds this summer, he'll be on a team in the next 1-2 months. Similar situation to Kane, no one wanted to sign him until they had a better understanding of recovery.

Just adding on to add on... Stammer isn't signing for a rebuild. I honestly think the only rebuild situation he'd play for would be Tampa when they hit theirs. My guess is he stays in Tampa.

They are definitely gonna have to move out cap to re-sign Stammer. But, yeah, I'd be willing to bet they keep him around... At least, they should be trying to keep him.

I'm by no means a Tampa fan, but I would hope they try to keep him around (unless he doesn't want to stay of course).

He's been pivotal for that market, and I do enjoy seeing players like that stick with the org that drafted them. The penguins have been very lucky to have three guys that (I believe) will all retire from the league having only played for the penguins. it's pretty special imo.

Yeah. It's definitely special when they can stick with one team. Although, and no offense meant, I see PIT going into a rebuild in the near future, and I'm not sure anyone is gonna want to stick around for that. I could certainly be wrong, though. But they could probably recoup a ton of draft capital and prospects if they decided to start selling. So, if the plan is to rebuild, they should probably start soon. Tampa on the other hand, has a pretty weak prospect pool and no draft capital, too, but they also have a lot of youngish players that are still very good at hockey. So they could probably get away with a retool if it comes to that. It'd be nice if they could keep Stammer, but that dude could go out and get paid some big bucks if he wanted to, and I don't think TBL are the ones that are gonna do it.
