Islanders aren't retaining 4 years of Varlamov for a 6th round pick and a c-level at best prospect.

NSH declines. Not opposed to moving Sherwood, but I'd want a little more than two picks in back half of two separate drafts for him given the chemistry he has with two of NSH's best younger players in Novak and Evangelista.

I think the draft picks are fair offers for the Flyers for Walker and Seeler, but taking back Kulak would probably cost something additional.

Ignoring the fact that it's been rumored that Varlamov already has Edmonton on his NTC for a moment, the value is just awful. Grubbe cost the Oilers a 5th rounder back in May, so you're basically offering a 5th & 6th rounder for $5M of retention and a starting caliber goalie - I'm sure you can see that the value just isn't there, right?
