Girard makes me think a trade could be made, C.T.A is up for discussion though.

Trading a player like Girard is not really comparable to Saros— a proven, elite starting goaltender vs an undersized defensive prospect. Girard is good, a bit overrated, but still good— but you can’t compare him when he was traded to Saros being traded now.

Not saying they're equal value but, the fact is they've been involved in big trades before. There is no worry for Nashville to trade within the division because you will not be contending while Saros is under this current deal.
