Demello isn't worth this much now, is he going to be worth 4+ as he moves towards his mid 30's? Not a chance

Exactly with 1.8 more to spend a smart gm can find a way better replacement over demelo.

Well recent trades show he can be smart with trades. (Tkachuk wanted to leave) so that trade was very smart. His signings tho show huge impatience and problems( if Tkachuk was not resigned even for a .55 per game scorer and history of more treliving could have gotten atleast a prospect and 2nd for Huberdeau, maybe a first if team is desperate. Now after the signing, Calgary gets nothing.

So trade good but signing terrible. Hopefully he learns and learns because he signings are never smart.

**** Willy and the horse he rode in on. I hope they are only doing that because they have intention on trading him. How are we putting him in a conversation with Pasta? Should be almost 50M now in 4 forwards once Marner signs. Ahh who needs defence anyways, they are overrated. 🤦‍♂️
