So I understand the sentiment behind this, but watching the Sabres without skinner, they are having a really tough time creating any kind of offense.

On the other hand, they limited Tampa to 0.88 expected goals at even strength last game, and I'm guessing that probably doesn't happen with Skinner on the team.

I suppose if you could replace him with a guy who is at least 75% of what skinner is offensively without the defensive drawbacks that would be ideal. But those guys go for a huge premium. I'd rather they just go back to being a high octane offense that will squeeze more juice out of guys like skinner, at least enough to make them worth hanging on to.

No yeah the city is definitely cursed. Not only was this genuinely the Bills year (first time i have ever said this) but this was also the year for the sabres to not just make the playoffs but win a series. never seen anything like it

Well they came within a win of the playoffs last year.
Along with Luukkonen, Mittelstadt, and Jokiharju, Jeff is one of the Sabres who are producing as well as or better than last year.
He is a team player, good in the locker room and on the ice.
Remember his between two stalls series and how he stood up for Anderson when he was slashed by Penguins Guentzel.
When was the last time a Sabre did that.

To blame him exclusively for the Sabres problems is a harsh over simplification.
