Now I know that JEEk isn’t going to be moved at any point in time in the near future, if at all, but what do you Wild fans think if an offer like this were to come up for Ek? Obviously this would just be the base framework for a trade, and I’m not going to make a hard offer or anything. Ek is an amazing 2-way 2C who is an all situation player, someone who would definitely thrive in Rod’s system. Necas has his troubles, but his skill set is fundamentally unfit for the Canes system. Necas can play C and can fill in that hole that Ek leaves, or he can play wing on a line with Kaprizov, maybe be the next Zuccarello, and if he fits the Wild’s system could be an offensive upgrade on Ek. Necas can play in all situations as well, so it would be swapping Ek’s defensive capabilities for Necas’ offensive capabilities.
