Not only do you want Holtz, you think you're getting a 1st on top of it.

if you want holtz+1st, the only piece on montreal worth that is Slaf.

Dach and Newhook didn't have 2 years of ELC, didn't have anywhere near the 5v5 production of holtz, and yet you paid large prices. Start with either the dach or newhook price, then pay for the 2 years of ELC he has left

NJD would pay a 5th for Xhekaj to play in Utica
3rd for Allen
3rd for Monahan to be a 4C

Value wise Holtz > Monahan
1st > Xhekaj and Allen

Considering where the Devils currently are in the standings, Holtz and their 1st could easily be the 2 best assets in this deal. Monahan is solid, although not sure necessarily a need for the Devils. A mediocre backup and #6/7 level dman aren’t close to making up the value of either their 1st or Holtz

Newhook went for a 1st and 2nd and hes a center on a team that had had a lack of centers. The overpricing done by fans of East Coast teams needs to be studied.

Also the inconsistency of your values is insane. Newhook and a 2nd doesnt equal a top 7 pick and a 3rd. The value for Dach and a 1st is closer to Jack Hughes than it is to Holtz. Go outside, take a walk and come back when you realize that a 3rd line winger with 2nd line potential isnt worth a teams best assets
