Hawks don’t give up a 3rd for those 2. They are stocked w/LDs in the pipeline. Atkinson doesn’t help the rebuild. If he was a free agent there might be interest in signing but not enough to give up the that high of a pick.

I could see the Rangers deal provided that you swap out a 1st + Jones for like Goodrow and Wheeler.

You're selling to a rebuilding team and you're retaining in a trade to the team with the most available cap space. You're also asking for a 3rd round pick for a diminishing talent who can't stay healthy and an ECHL player. Make it make sense.
