If Devils were selling Marino…would probably be appealing offer. But we gotta hang onto our veteran dmen. Can’t have Lord of the Flies blueline.

Not that their are not fair trades. I just don't see New Jersey making that trade. They let Severson and Graves go knowing that their defense would weaken this year but with the idea that over the season both Hughes and Nemec grow into top 4 D alongside Marino and Hamilton.
I would think New Jersey really values Marino. Thus say no. With a healthy Hamilton, Hughes, Nemec, Marino and company and add in a goalie like Markstrom the defense greatly improves with New Jersey and NJ saves the salaries of Graves and Severson.

Considering that Toffoli was had for only a second and Sharangovich, I don't see a first for Toffoli from Toronto. More is needed back, but I do agree I don't see NJ willing to trade Marino.

Admitting the Marino/Toffelli swap Liljegren/Robertson would favour the Leafs this season, but Minten is a first is way too much of premium to pay. Besides Toffelli is a UFA this summer and Robertson has seemed to found his way into the NHL
