They need to learn Boston's lesson from last season. Don't upset the wagon when things are going well.

So far this season, they're the single most potent offensive team in the salary cap era by a large margin in terms of shooting percentage. Whatever they're doing is working. Don't mess with it.

Not sure if the trade makes the Canucks better. Trading one Tanev for two Canuck regulars, Soucy and Suter.
Sure Soucy is from Alberta but does he waive his NTC?

soucy to tanev is barely an upgrade. infact, given soucy's size and term, you could argue its a downgrade.

suter is a very valuable piece to the canucks this year.

    easy decline

id rather jsut do tanev 50% retained for a 1st

All that’s really changing is Suter out and Tanev in with Tocchet thinking about bringing Kessel in as well

Most importantly this Trades keeps Quinn Hughes and the rest of his former Teammates happy

Lafferty can easily replace Suter, but I’ll take either guy

    Tanev >> Soucy. Tanev is a Top-4 D-Man whereas Soucy’s a 5th-6th D-Man I’d use on the 3rd Pairing

suter is much better than lafferty and is signed next year to a very low cost number. the value difference between the two is high
