The only real high quality piece in that Pettersson offer is Montreal’s 2024 (and possibly 2025) 1st. Obviously a huge amount of quantity of picks, and because of that the Canucks would have to at least strongly consider that offer, but none of the players offered outside of maybe Barron are quality pieces. In the unlikely scenario Pettersson is moved I think they’d want a high end young/prime age player to be the headline piece. From Montreal that would be at least one of Slafkovsky/Caufield/Suzuki/Reinbacher that would have to be included

I don't think Columbus moves Jiricek for any reason, but that's definitely one I think you take. Young RD with similar ceiling and a 1st. I think MTL can keep Newhook even.

Value wise 5 1sts+ for Pettersson is probably relatively close. However, the Canucks are in win now mode with their current core. If Pettersson did want out, they'd want a Tkachuk-style return, focusing on NHL ready pieces instead of futures. Also, if Petey wanted out, it's because he wants to win now, so I highly doubt he'd want to go to Montreal (though that narrative is kind of a mute point now given the Canucks play this season).
