Honestly, get Tanner Pearson out of here. I can't see anyone really being excited about acquiring a guy scoring at a 20-25 point pace who isn't necessarily a shutdown defensive forward.

If you skip Pearson, you can burn that last retention slot on Tanev in this deal and get a better return, potentially; that being said, I don't think any of these deals are good for Montreal. It basically boils down to trading Barron and Winnipeg's 1st this year for Liljegren and Robertson. Would you do that trade straight-up?

Barron is 0.33 p/60 vs Liljegren's 0.31.
He also has 11 goals already compared to Liljegren's 13, in half the games.
He's younger, which leaves him more room for development.

The only thing Liljegren really has on Barron is experience.
