I would prefer the hawks not waste a retention spot for a couple 7ths put if nothing else comes around I guess so....

CHI isn't moving Blackwell for two 7th's, especially not with retention.

Hawks decline. That doesn't get Blackwell without retention. If the best offer for Blackwell is two 7th's, the Hawks just keep him.

And the Pens easily decline that trade as well. Not even sure that gets Crosby by himself. No way it gets Crosby and Guentzel.

It would take an extreme overpay to get Carrier out of Nashville, not to mention in division and to a team we might face in the playoffs. The first is a good start, but I'd imagine you'd have to add someone to replace him in the lineup or a prospect.
