Don’t see Canes doing that. They may not want to pay him, but they can do better.

I’d be fine with Ullmark for Holtz/3rd from Boston perspective.

If the Canes trade Necas, they are likely getting a top shelf player or prospect back at a position of need. I do like that their cap position does look like it might rip some important players from them.

Ullmark to NJ makes sense. Holtz or the 2025 first or Casey. Not sure which one I prefer.

So the Canes downgrade Necas for Holtz and get 2 3rds and a C tier prospect? That ain't enough, no matter how you cut it
