Chicago has plenty later round picks and which LD prospects is Broberg better than to justify weakening Chicago's right side? And you want to retain? This is terrible for Chicago.

That Murphy trade is terrible for Chicago. No chance they make that deal. And Hanifin isn't signing for 2 years. He'll get $7m or close to it on a long term deal from someone. Vlasic gets more as well.

Brutal trade for the Hawks, Murphy is worth a 2nd round pick on his own w/o retention, you want to retain 50% and give him away for Edmonton’s failed 1st round pick and a 4th?

Furthermore, do you expect them to run all LHD next season.. Vlasic, Korchinski, Del Mastro, Hanifin, Broberg… very little of this makes sense.

No reason for the hawks to do this. Broberg would be somehwere around our 5th or 6th best young LD
