The history of players that have gone through an arbitration hearing shows about half are gone within a year and 80% are gone within two years. Eighty percent.

Many expected Swayman to sign an extension when his window opened in January. Instead, he talked publicly about the pain the arbitration process caused him.

And historically, goalies are more likely to get traded when they hit RFA then when they are under contract.

So until he is actually signed, I would think Swayman has good a chance as any to be considered in a trade.
