I doubt habs are willing to trade for Chytil unless he gets fully medically cleared to return.

Also, habs would likely use that first for a bigger package.

the 1st should be conditional on if he plays, giving up a 1st for a guy that may never play again (or very little) isn't something that makes sense for any team. I'd say a 3rd, which upgrades to a 2nd if he plays 60+ games OR scores 40+ points, and upgrades to a 1st if both conditions are met, something like that where the Rangers still get value regardless of what Chytil does but the return grows the more and better he plays

Habs easily decline, Dvorak half retained in the final year of his contract isn't a cap dump and the difference between him and Chytil isn't a 1st+, it's more like the Rags would be adding a 3rd for the retention on Dvo and just assuming the injury risk on Chytil

Out of 700 players, you make a blockbuster trade with a guy that's been out for a year!??
