Probably fair value wise but NJD has a more immediate window than a 5th overall pick provides. Maybe with 10th overall instead of mercer

Devils are rebuilding, so trading roster players for picks probably isn't high on their list

Panthers dont do that. Plus they cant add more salary then they’re trading away.
