Kuemper situation is very literally just the goalie version of Mantha last summer. Was he good last year? No. Is his contract too much for too long? Yes. Is it absolutely back-breaking for where the team is in its cycle (a-la Campbell in Edmonton)? No. Does it make sense to give up assets to move him? No. Is there any potential "bad contract swap" candidate out there that saves them significant money or gives them a better goalie than Kuemper? No.

I just struggle to see any scenario outside of a team like TOR or NJD or LAK doing something insane (which isn't impossible!) where Kuemper is not in DC next year
