Hawks obviously decline. They aren't spending a 2nd for one year of Mangiapane. Maybe try a playoff contender if that's the ask.

Did Kuzmenko and Horvat play together in Vancouver? If yes, I can see this working for the Islanders as a low-risk move. Either way, we'd happily give up a 2nd for one of Mangiapane or Kuzmenko at 50%.

Not sure I understand the "sale" prices on Calgary players and the unused $15M in CAP space, which will likely be closer to $19M for next season. Duclair wont sign for the same as this season after a very good year.

My guess is the Isles probably accept this, if and only if Horvat and Kuzmenko have chemistry and the extension comes in at around 4.5M-5M range
