Description
I know this is unrealistic here. But I honestly think that Keslers hip might be a career ender injury. (but he is a warrior and will try to make things happen and come back) What a good time for find a faster and younger player to replace him with than O'Reilly.

I don’t see how this makes sense for the ducks at all. Using your only trade pieces for one guy at 7.5M cap hit. Ducks issues are more than just whether or not Kesler will play next season.

He makes your team down the middle far better. He is one, if not, the best faceoff man in the league. He plays great defense and averages nearly 55-60 points a year. Oh and he is only 27 with decent term. The ducks have far more trade pieces. One defense prospect is not the "only trade piece".

But 1 top end prospect, 1 first and 1 rental player who could garner around a first is the majority of our valuable assets that we might actually move. I don't mind the idea of getting ROR. I actually tend to like it as he is a direct replacement for Kesler, but that is a lot to give up and I'm not sure we have the space with Kesler still on the roster and only losing SIlf. On top of that I am not sure Silf holds much value to Buffalo as he potentially a 1 year rental who has never hit 50 pts. They have RWs in Okposo and Reinhart which means Silf would likely play 3rd line. I just don't think he is a fit for Buffalo. I think they need NHL level D, not guys who might be NHL ready. They would want either Fowler or Lindholm and neither we can give up.
