Blues have no need for Gardiner or Kapanen, especially at the cost of giving up Parayko. Nylander or Marner and maybe Kadri starts the discussion.

This is according to one of TSN's Insider's months ago on TSN Overdrive's Podcast:

Years ago - in the 2012 draft - Toronto had identified Parayko as one of their possible draft picks. No other team but St. Louis had expressed interest so the Leaf's front office thought they could get him late in the draft. In the second round, Toronto selected Matthew Finn and didn't have a third round pick. St. Louis ended up taking Parayko in the third round...

yikes...... stl passes hard...

Parayko imo cost Nylander + and even at that Nylander would have to come with something bc stl d is extremely good and trading him makes it a lot worse and adding Parayko only help tml who d is maybe bottom 7 in the nhl Imo
