Description
Just a thought. Wingels or Brouwer on a PTO make sense. Need help on Wing after trading Panik (27), Hartman (23), Hinostroza (24) and refusing to bring Duclair (22) back for a mere 700K. So much for the youth movement.

Still a lottery team

Bringing players that used to play on the team is not a good idea

I'd be cool with it. As long as he doesn't play every game and take too much time away from the younger guys

Brouwer got a lot of hits last year and played a lot of PK. I think he still gets a spot somewhere in this league.

I agree with your point that giving up a lot of young players hurts the Hawks this year and beyond, but after that the lack of immediate talent and lower total cap hit both help them draft their way to success and approach a potentially different CBA unencumbered. If the next CBA has a higher salary cap or another compliance buyout, they'll feel pretty silly about overpaying to dump Hossa's contract. Otherwise, they did what they felt they had to do to shorten the total length of the rebuild and to make it count.

Great post! Brouwer was a favorite of mine when he was a Hawk. As much as I would still love to have Danault (the draft pick Chicago acquired from Washington in 2011), TB, for the reasons you listed, would be a good pickup.
