Nashville look-a-like top 4 for years to come

Team: 2018-19 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 23, 2017
Published: Nov. 23, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Following a dissapointing season where the habs finished in the league's bottom 3 worst team, Marc Bergevin gets fired, Geoff Molson steps out of his president role to be the team's owner only. He gets to hire Stephane Quintal as president. He will name Julien Brisebois as new GM, who will get rid of all Bergevin's mistakes to begin a rebuild of the franchise. Defense will be brisebois's priority as Nashville did become a contender team this way. Montreal wins a 3 top lottery pick and get to choose Adam Boqvist. With Winnipeg 1st pick acquired in Price's trade, Montreal selects Filip Zadina. They also managed to sign great UFA's with all the cap space gained in the multiple trades. They still have a lot of cap space when the season starts in case they have to go after some depth during the season.

They'll take him back, cap issues is the reason they didn't sign him back last year, but with John Carlsson likely to hit UFA they wont be able to pay him the big money so Alzner would be welcomed back easily we'll take anything to get rid of his salary

Still dreaming to much. I feel it isn't very realistic, and that i don't see it happening in the future. Rebuild instead of pick up.

you really can't tell? virtually every trade is a cap dump on other teams. alzner is rapidly fading, no team think he's worth his 4.7 mill and you know it too. same with petry even at 4.5m. an additional 7m to Winnipeg for three first rounders why can't carolina just wait a year and sign pacioretty instead of trading a starting young dman.

No, Caps let Alzner walk because they have better players coming up in the system. They wouldn´t take him back.

All these offers are really bad for Montreal... except for the Montoya one. And Washington won't take Alzner back with that contract. Winnipeg's 1st very, very likely won't be a top 5 pick either (which is what Zadina probably goes at).
