You are absolutely crazy. Just stop. Patrick kane is worth at least double that. yet you have the audaacity to have the hawks give you a 1st with that? A person like you can only dream man.

Double that? Chicago hasn't won a playoff series since the extensions for toews and kaner. To think Kane is worth double that is insane imo. He's scary good but also aging. You get three players that can make up for the production which will help with depth, a thing that a team looking for a Stanley cup run needs. And you dump Seabrooks contract. P Kane is definitely not worth double that. Get real bud.

Evander is a free agent this offseason, trading his rights a month or so before he hits free agency is just about pointless, and retaining salary on him is actually pointless.

patrick kane is 29. you are acting like he is 33. He is a superstar. Ryan O'Reilly is over paid, and what else you gave us is not good enough. YOU GET REAL.

this has to be a joke?
Patrick Kane is a top 5 player in the NHL, won the Hart Trophy 2 years back, will finish in the top 10 in scoring again. He's the face of the franchise in Chicago, hands down their best player. You think Patrick Kane alone is the reason they haven't got past the first round? A lot of hockey a lot of these guys have played. Trading Patrick Kane and Brent Seabrook for over rated and over paid Ryan O'Reilly, soon to be UFA Evander Kane who no team wants due to his poor attitude, useless Zach Bogosian, a guy who can't even crack the top 2 lines on Buffalo one of the worst teams in the league in Sam Reinhart .. ohh and that 2nd rounder the Hawks get while giving Buffalo a 1st rounder.
Come on man .. do some research before posting this trade then trying to defend it. If Buffalo wants Kane it starts with Eichel + coming back

Chicago fans are unreal. ROR has had the same amount of points and is a better faceoff man than Toews in the past three years at 3 mil less. ROR is not overpaid or underpaid. I did not post this trade so good one. Never said this trade was equal but definitely not half the value of Kane. Take Bogo and Seabrook out then. Oh wait you can't? Because Seabrook has an even worse contract. EKane could sign with Chicago most likely. Nice dead narrative with him being a cancer in the locker room. P Kane is so much nicer of a genuine person, said no buffalo bartender ever. You mean Reinhart the guy that has done well with Eichel yet is jumped around for no reason. Lame excuse. The difference between the 1st and second is most likely 10 spots between if the sabres, are as you say, the worst team in the league. I wouldn't trade Eichel alone for Kane. Younger and with the potential to be better than Kaner so no lol. But ya pretend like this trade is so far fetched because of your terrible evaluation. Again I didn't post it just making sure you Chicago fans are brought down a level.

I like ROR. I think he's a good center. I'll trade other pieces and prospects for him, but he doesn't hit superstar level and the odds are VERY much in favor that he won't ever. He'll still be a really good player that I'd want on my team, but ya gotta overpay if you want to trade for a superstar.

My issue with the trade is very different. The NHL CBA expires in 2019. They'll get at least 1 compliance buyout. Seabrook will be fine for 1.5 more years. Didn't say top pair guy, but he'll give 15-17 min of solid play a game. Don't need to shed that contract at all. Would it be nice to spend that $7M cap hit elsewhere...sure, but i wouldn't sell the farm to get rid of it...like Bickell.

hahaha Eichel will be better then Kane? really man? Kane is on pace to become the greatest born American player of all time. He won't score the most goals especially if you consider Canadian Brett Hull American but will be the best of all time. Eichel won't put up the stats or win what Kane has.

You're own damn GM at the time was so disappointed the Sabres ended up with Eichel.

Eichel is a great player but he's not an elite player of Kane's caliber. Let me know in 9 years how many cups, Conn Smythe, Calder, Hart, Ted Lindsay, Art Ross Eichel has compared to Kane in his first 9 years. He's already behind on the Calder. Eichel is not a player that has elevated his teammates around him like Kane has.
Great to compare ROR and Toews, again what has ROR done for Colorado or Buffalo? Nothing at all. Hasn't won anything, hasn't guided his team to anything. Do you think Chicago cares they are grossly overpaying Toews for the next 5 years after this season? The 3 Stanley Cups, Selke's and Conn Smythe say no.
ROR came into the league in 2009-10 season, Colorado lost in the first round that year .. who won the cup? Right that was Chicago with Toews winning the Conn Smythe. Colorado missed the playoffs for the next 3 years. During the 2012-13 shortened season what was ROR doing??? oh right sitting out like a baby because he wasn't paid the money he thought he deserved for a player who's done nothing in his career .. what did the Hawks and Toews do that year? right another Stanley Cup.
2013-14 season Colorado lost in the 1st round while Chicago lost in the Western Finals in game 7 overtime after coming back from being down 3-1 in the series with Toews leading the way.
After that ROR hasn't been close to post season play while Toews had won another cup .. but you're right man ROR every day over Toews.
You can go on and say Chicago fans are unreal and over evaluate the players on their team but news flash EVERYONE does it for the players on their favorite team.
You keep fighting that battle to make sure all Hawk fans know their players aren't good ... good luck with that.
Check back in when the Sabres, Eichel or ROR have actually done something relevant ...

I knew this would be "argument bait" the minute I saw it.

Guys, there is one thing every one of us can agree on......................................... THIS TRADE WOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN A MILLION YEARS SO WHY ARE WE WASTING OUR BREATH?

Evander kane can barely have a 50 game season if he is lucky, Ryan O'Reilly is paid 7.5m a year to do what? to score like someone who has a cap hit of 5.5m Sam Reinhart is an ok prospect, Seabrook's contract is bad, but he is still a 2nd pairing D. So its not like you are getting a bad player. Maybe you should stop overvaluing players that are nowhere near as good as you think they are. Eichel with the potential to be better than kane? I cant wait to see Eichel pushing buffalo to 3 cups. Not gunna happen. Ryan O'Reilly by the way has one 28 goal season. His best year in terms of goals and 2 seasons with 20 goals and 21 goals. Toews's best year of goals were 34. He has had two 30 plus goal seasons, 3 seasons with 28 goals, and one with 29 goals. and scored over 21 goals for 10 straight seasons. But ya. Keep trying to convince us O'Reilly is even remotely close to Toews. Get out of here moron.
